Jade Collins, Femeconomy announced as Guest Speaker for IWD 201912 December 2018
We are delighted to announce Jade Collins as our Guest Speaker for AusIMM’s International Women’s Day 2019 events series luncheons.
Jade’s executive career has been dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusion with a focus on empowering females leadership through the profound impact of market driven gender quality strategies.
Inspired by a Harvard Business Review article on the power of the female economy and motivated by a desire to create and promote meaningful change, Jade left her 17 year mining and resources career to become an entrepreneur and set up Femeconomy.
Femeconomy encourages women to channel their collective purchasing power towards brands that have women in leadership, pushing for gender equality through the power of the purse.
Jade has boldly lived the 2019 International Women’s Day theme of Balance for Better. She has been a public activist for better gender balance in the workplace, while personally creating a stable balance between her and her husband at home as working parents. By mobilising the diverse female economy to drive better gender balance on boards and in company ownership structures, she helps women recognise their own power within the economy, to join the movement and drive the change they wish to see.
Jade champions initiatives that are important for women, but are also exceptionally valuable for business, promoting structures and schemes that implement best practice policies providing business with a competitive advantage by which to increase profits.
A high profile business leader and champion of change, Jade is a judge for the Telstra Women in Business Awards, is a member of the Remodista Retail Advisory Board and is a member of the Strategic Advisory Group for the Queensland Government for the Gender Parity Women on Boards initiative.
