Dr Kirstin Ferguson is an experienced Australian business leader, company director, award-winning leadership expert and author. When engaged as a keynote speaker, Kirstin draws on her unique expertise as a highly experienced leader in her own right with her award-winning research to inspire, motivate and educate audiences around the world.
She is also a high-profile advocate for diversity and inclusion. In 2017, Kirstin attracted considerable attention as an ‘Accidental Activist’ after she created the widely acclaimed #CelebratingWomen campaign and in 2018 published her first book called Women Kind. Kirstin has received a number of awards for her work in gender equality and is a member of Chief Executive Women and Women Corporate Directors.
Kirstin is a sought-after keynote speaker in leadership, emotional intelligence, trust and purpose. She has received numerous awards for her own leadership as a CEO and business leader, as well as receiving industry and academic awards for her research in the field. Kirstin has opened large conferences in the US, UK, New Zealand and Australia and always inspires her audiences to consider the impact of their own leadership on others while also being moved to be part of a wave of change for the future.
Kirsten commenced her career in the military as an Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force. Drawing on her leadership experience, she moved into civilian executive roles working for a large law firm, then becoming CEO of an international consulting firm, Sentis. Her academic qualifications include a PhD, Honours degree in Law and an Honours degree in History.
Kirstin has been named one of Australia’s 100 Women of Influence, is a Churchill Fellow and the recipient of a number of industry and academic awards.
